Zero 7, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Bob Dylan, Bowie, Badly Drawn Boy, Nick Drake, John Martyn, Paul Simon, Groove Armada, Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Avalanches, Chemical Brothers. Like a bit of blues - BB King, Muddy Waters, King Curtis, that sort of thing. Fondness for Louis Armstrong/Ella Fitzgerald duets. When I'm in the mood adore Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Dvorak. Not a fan of rap/hip-hop (apart from a smidgen of Lauryn Hill, Jurassic 5 and NERD). Passionate dislike of Enrique Iglesias.
My average weekend..
Fridays are spent celebrating the end of the working week. Then I get up late, maybe go for a run if I can be arsed, go out and enjoy the sunshine (if there is any!) Go climbing at a rock wall in North London most weekends, really fun and sociable way to spend an afternoon. Other than that, meeting up with friends for lunch/dinner, wandering around museums, going shopping when I can be bothered (rarely!) Dancing on Saturday nights (and sometimes getting over a hangover on Sunday...!)
I would also like to say..
When I'm not in the office wishing I wasn't, I love to be outdoors - have a slightly odd passion for long-distance hiking (longest was 630 miles along Devon/Cornwall coastline - amazing). Also ove travelling - recently went away for 6 months for a solo trip to Nepal, India, Vietnam, Oz, NZ and Fiji. Enjoy nights out with friends as well as cosy nights in watching terrible telly (total addiction to the Apprentice recently).
I don't have a specific 'type' as such, but there needs to be that irrefutable, ever-elusive Spark. Having said that, serious interests in astrology, trainspotting or the wearing of socks with sandals will not be tolerated. I like geeks but you have to draw the line somewhere!
