It's so sad to see my parents happily married for 55 years now separated by illness, in different hospitals across London. They communicate briefly by phone but haven't seen each other for over 3 weeks - love endures lots of adversity.

Driving home tonight in the heavy rain with the rest of the congested North London traffic Mr Silver Van Man suddenly decides to cross 3 lanes mount the central reservation and do a U turn on the opposite side of the North Circular stopping (barely) in front of me and the 2 cars either side of me! It's a good job we had slowed down due to the lakes of water across our path or all 4 vehicles would be a road block on the radio...and men complain about women drivers? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

A whole school year nearly over. My class of small, shy, nervous 6 year olds - now grown, flourishing and confident. What seemed so hard to achieve and complete in September now seems so easy for them. I have watched them, taught them "hardstuff", got cross with them but most of all cared about them for a whole year and here they are about to leave me for the big wide world of the JUNIORS!!!

I have 2 of the most wondeful thoughtful sons in the world who love their mum. They have been doing the hospitals, visiting both grandparents with me after long days in stressful jobs. Then have surprised me with front stall tickets for the West End theatre because I was feeling low - I'm a lucky woman.
